Meituan's online pharmacy and home-based rapid testing service has been launched in Shanghai. The first pilot phase has already completed the testing orders.

According to the Securities Times, the "Meituan Buy Medicine Home Fast Test" service, which was previously launched in Beijing and Guangzhou, has now been launched in Pudong District and Baoshan District in Shanghai. The first batch of pilot stores have received and completed testing orders today (11th), and it is expected that the service will continue to expand its coverage this week. Meituan Buy Medicine introduced that the first order for home fast testing in Shanghai was generated 8 minutes after the store went online. Users saw the service directly on Meituan's medical treatment and medicine purchase channel and placed an order. The person in charge of Meituan Buy Medicine introduced that since the service has just been launched, the user who placed the order first completed the sampling process at around 11 am and is expected to receive the test results around 1 pm in the afternoon. Currently, home fast testing can be ordered in two ways: the first is to search for "home fast testing" in the "medical treatment and medicine purchase" channel of Meituan and Meituan Takeaway App, enter the testing topic page, and click "test now" to enter the purchase page; the second is to search for "Meituan Buy Medicine" mini-program on WeChat or scan the mini-program QR code to enter the ordering page. It is understood that Meituan Buy Medicine's home fast testing can detect 12 common respiratory infection viruses or bacteria, such as influenza A, influenza B, and mycoplasma, and can detect the virus two days earlier than antigen testing. Up to now, Meituan Buy Medicine has partnered with Shanghai Huashi, First Medicine, and other chain pharmacies, with a total of 78 medical insurance pharmacies (OTC only) online, supporting local medical insurance personal account online payment, covering 8 districts including Huangpu, Xuhui, and Jing'an. The service scope will gradually expand to the whole city. Since the beginning of this year, Meituan Buy Medicine has launched many innovative initiatives in Shanghai. From 24-hour pharmacy coverage to medical insurance payment cooperation with some chains, and now the launch of home fast testing services, it has basically formed an online home health service self-management closed loop of "home testing - online consultation - 24-hour medicine purchase - medical insurance payment", bringing more convenient service models to patients with minor illnesses and chronic diseases.
