谷歌将再次豪掷 50 亿美元投资其自动驾驶汽车部门 Waymo！Alphabet 旗下包括 Waymo 在内的 “其他业务” 部门第二季度实现了 3.65 亿美元的营收，高于上年同期的 2.85 亿美元，但亏损也从去年同期的 8.13 亿美元扩大至 11.3 亿美元。Waymo 每周提供 5 万次付费出行，主要在旧金山和凤凰城，至今已完成 200 万次出行。今年 6 月，Waymo 还取消了等候名单，并向所有旧金山用户开放了乘车服务。
Waymo 在 2020 年的第一轮外部融资中筹集了 22.5 亿美元，2021 年又融资 25 亿美元，吸引了众多知名机构投资。
