美國發往亞洲的海上貨櫃航線正在從疫情下的受阻狀態中恢復正常。優先運送空箱的趨勢已經平息，在主要港口載貨運輸的比例已接近疫情前的水平。原因是之前暴漲的亞洲發往美國航線的運費開始下降，不再需要把空箱加緊運至亞洲。北美最大港口洛杉磯港的數據顯示，在 3 月出口的貨櫃中，裝載貨物的貨櫃比例為 33％。繼 2 月達到 35％之後，已連續兩個月超過 30％。2022 年下半年以後呈現出增加趨勢，目前為 2020 年 5～6 月以來的最高水平，尚不及 2019 年時的 40%。
