THE SOUTHSIDE, a shopping mall located in Wong Chuk Hang, MTR, is now in its first phase of trial operation.
The SOUTHSIDE, a shopping mall under MTR CORPORATION in the southern district of Hong Kong Island, has started trial operations. In the first phase, the ground floor of the mall, known as GF, is open to the public, offering dining options, daily necessities, and essential services. The mall is also connected to a new passage at Exit B of MTR CORPORATION's Wong Chuk Hang Station. Approximately 30 merchants are operating in this initial phase, mainly providing light dining options and retail services. This initiative aims to meet the daily needs of residents and office workers in the area.
THE SOUTHSIDE, a shopping mall under MTR (00066.HK), will begin its first phase trial operation today (12th). The mall will initially open the ground floor, which includes dining establishments, daily necessities, and community services. At the same time, the new passage connecting MTR Wong Chuk Hang Station Exit B and the mall will also be put into use. Deng Zhihui, the Director of Property and International Business at MTR Corporation, stated that since the opening of the MTR South Island Line, the railway network has connected the southern part of Hong Kong Island. THE SOUTHSIDE's tenant mix is designed to cater to the needs of residents in the area, covering clothing, food, housing, and transportation. In the first phase, approximately 30 merchants will be opened on one of the floors of the mall's five-story commercial area, accounting for about 20% of the total floor area. They will provide light dining options and various retail services to meet the daily needs of residents and office workers in the area before the mall is fully operational. (gc/da)
