
Cenovus working to increase Superior, Wisconsin, refinery throughput in Q2 2024

Cenovus Energy is working to increase crude throughput at its Superior, Wisconsin refinery in the second quarter of 2024. The company expects its Borger, Texas refinery to operate at full rates of 149,000 barrels per day. The Lima, Ohio refinery is undergoing maintenance and a turnaround is expected in the fourth quarter of 2024. The Superior refinery is currently running at 65-70% utilization, while Cenovus' other refineries are running above 90% utilization in the first quarter of 2024. The company also expects the remaining linefill volumes for the TMX pipeline to be called in the next few weeks and early Q2.
