
BUZZ-Walgreens falls after Lilly picks Amazon to deliver Zepbound, other drugs

Shares of Walgreens Boots Alliancefell 1.13% after Eli Lillypartnered with Amazon.com’spharmacy unit to deliver drug prescriptions sent to its direct-to-consumer website, LillyDirect. The collaboration allows patients to obtain their medications, including the weight-loss medicine Zepbound, directly from Lilly through online pharmacy Truepill. Prescriptions will be delivered by either Amazon Pharmacy or Truepill based on insurance coverage. WBA shares are down ~19% YTD.

** Lilly launched LillyDirect in January to enable patients to obtain their migraine, diabetes and obesity drugs, including the popular weight-loss medicine Zepbound, directly from the company through online pharmacy Truepill
** Prescriptions sent to LillyDirect Pharmacy Solutions would now be delivered by either Amazon Pharmacy or Truepill, depending on the patient’s insurance coverage and other factors
