Tencent and WeDoctor jointly promote the "Medical Big Model", marking a milestone for medical AI.

Zhitong App learned that on March 13th, Weiyi and TENCENT (00700) signed a strategic cooperation agreement in Shenzhen, integrating the accumulation and application scenarios of TENCENT and Weiyi in the field of artificial intelligence. They will jointly promote medical large models, focusing on the "management of six diseases" (tumors, cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases, respiratory diseases, metabolism, reproductive medicine, and geriatric diseases) to develop specialized intelligent products. With the help of artificial intelligence, they aim to promote the synergy of the three medical sectors and create a demonstration city for the application of medical artificial intelligence in China. This cooperation is a proactive move by TENCENT to promote the application of artificial intelligence in the medical and health industry, and it is also an important step for Weiyi to implement the "medical large model" and upgrade the medical AI application scenarios in its "intelligent hospital."

Medical large models need to have cutting-edge capabilities in technology depth, scenario adaptability, and data quality. TENCENT and Weiyi have deep accumulation in AI technology research and development, medical application scenarios, and other aspects. In recent years, Weiyi has deeply integrated digital technology with medical service scenarios, achieving the large-scale application of artificial intelligence technology in its intelligent hospitals, health communities, and other major medical service scenarios. The platform has accumulated over 400 million dialogue data, more than 200 million medical cases, and data from over 200,000 doctors. With the support of digital technology, for example, in Tianjin, the revenue of a single intelligent hospital has reached the scale of a large Grade III hospital. The collaboration between WeDoctor and TENCENT on the cloud platform was officially announced. They have agreed to conduct comprehensive and in-depth cooperation using WeDoctor's platform and demonstration application scenarios in Tianjin, Sanming, Shanghai, and other locations. The collaboration aims to establish a leading medical big data model brand and medical AI digital human; jointly build a platform for managing six diseases, establish a national digital healthcare center, create a high-standard urban digital health community, develop a medical health intelligent brain, medical big data platform, chronic disease and health management service platform, and construct a unified digital foundation to provide industry-wide joint solutions in an intensive operational service system.

Ning Guang, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and President of Shanghai Ruijin Hospital, expressed in a video speech that the in-depth application of AI requires the integration of cutting-edge medical technology, large-scale application scenarios, and artificial intelligence technology. The goals and advantages of Shanghai Ruijin Hospital, TENCENT, and WeDoctor are highly complementary, which can drive the development of domestically leading and globally recognized medical big data models, promoting high-quality industry development. The adoption rate of AI-assisted diagnosis by doctors in WeDoctor's intelligent hospital has exceeded 86%, with a daily diagnosis and treatment volume of over 40,000 people, effectively improving patient health indicators and saving medical insurance funds. Yan Jinhong introduced the progress plan of this collaboration, based on big data models and digital human technology, focusing on the "six diseases" to promote the upgrade of products such as "intelligent doctors," "intelligent health managers," and "health digital humans," substantially enhancing the diagnosis and treatment capabilities of grassroots doctors nationwide, providing users with integrated services throughout the entire lifecycle of prevention, screening, diagnosis, treatment, and management.
