CHINA YOUZAN announced its 2023 performance, with a net profit attributable to owners of the company of 7.429 million yuan, turning losses into profits year-on-year. The decrease in revenue was mainly due to a decrease in subscription solution revenue, partially offset by an increase in revenue from merchant solution. The total merchandise transaction volume generated by merchants through CHINA YOUZAN reached approximately RMB 102.5 billion, an increase of about 1% year-on-year compared to 2022. The merchandise transaction volume of the store SaaS business was approximately RMB 50.7 billion, accounting for about 49% of the total merchandise transaction volume, with a year-on-year increase of about 19%

The revenue is approximately RMB 1.448 billion, a decrease of 3.2% year-on-year; the gross profit is about RMB 1.002 billion, an increase of 4.2% year-on-year; the net profit attributable to owners of the company is RMB 7.429 million, compared to a loss of approximately RMB 303 million in 2022.
The announcement stated that the decrease in revenue was mainly due to a decrease in revenue from subscription solutions, partially offset by an increase in revenue from merchant solutions. Revenue generated from subscription solutions was about RMB 839 million, a decrease of 5.8% year-on-year, mainly due to a decrease in the number of paying merchants. Revenue from merchant solutions was about RMB 606 million, an increase of 1.4% year-on-year, which was basically consistent with the growth of GMV in 2023.
In 2023, the total transaction volume of goods generated by merchants through Youzan's solutions reached approximately RMB 102.5 billion, an increase of about 1% year-on-year compared to 2022. The total transaction volume of goods from store SaaS business was about RMB 50.7 billion, accounting for approximately 49% of the total transaction volume, with a year-on-year growth of about 19%. The average sales of a single merchant in 2023 was approximately RMB 1.61 million, a year-on-year increase of about 33%.
As of December 31, 2023, the group had a total of 63,512 paying merchants. Among them, the proportion of merchants using subscription e-commerce SaaS was about 66%; the proportion of merchants using subscription store SaaS (including Youzan Store, Youzan Chain, Youzan Beauty, Youzan Education, and Wangxiaodian, etc.) was about 34%. The number of new paying merchants was 21,851. Among them, new paying merchants using e-commerce SaaS accounted for 62% of the total new paying merchants, while new paying merchants using store SaaS accounted for 38%
