On the afternoon of August 17th, the latest response from Want Want officials stated that the Crushed Ice purchased by consumers was "Want Want Wai Wai Crushed Ice," not an official Want Want product. On the same day, Want Want customer service officials told reporters that the Crushed Ice sold by Want Want is named "Want Want Crushed Ice," and the product complained about is not produced by the company, with an official response already issued.

Consumer's complaint content

The customer service of the Want Want Beverage flagship store told reporters that "Want Want Wai Wai Crushed Ice" is not a Want Want brand, but is produced by Sichuan Wanglu Food Co., Ltd. On August 17th, reporters called the company, but the call was not answered.

According to the pictures posted by the consumer, there are fibrous substances in the Crushed Ice, and the consumer suspected it to be feces. On the evening of August 16th, the official Want Want account responded to the matter, stating that they were in contact with the consumer to understand the situation.

On August 17th, reporters tried to contact the consumer, but as of the time of publication, no reply was received. In the afternoon of the same day, the latest response from the official Want Want account on this matter stated that based on the product packaging sent by the consumer to Want Want staff, it was determined that the product purchased by the consumer was not Want Want's Crushed Ice, and it was suggested that the consumer contact the manufacturer based on the packaging information. According to the pictures released by Want Want officials, the product purchased by the consumer is "Want Want Wai Wai Crushed Ice (Cola Flavor)," while Want Want's Crushed Ice is named "Want Want Crushed Ice."

The consumer also posted a new article on August 17th, stating that Want Want staff had contacted her on August 16th to handle the matter, refunding her 40 yuan at that time. On August 17th, the staff clarified to her that the product in question was not from Want Want. The consumer mentioned that she had returned the 40 yuan to the Want Want staff.
