Tesla recruits robots as "data collectors": hourly wages up to 344 yuan

According to IT Home, Tesla is recruiting a large number of personnel to train its humanoid robot Optimus by imitating the movements required through wearing motion capture devices. This position, referred to as "data collector" by Tesla, offers an hourly wage of up to $48, requiring employees to walk for over 7 hours a day, carry equipment weighing up to 30 pounds, and wear VR headsets for extended periods. Applicants must have a height between 5 feet 7 inches and 5 feet 11 inches to match the expected height of Optimus, who is 5 feet 8 inches tall.
