Harris will push for campaign ads linking Trump to the 2025 project
The Democratic Party's presidential campaign team of Harris will launch an advertisement trying to link Trump to the "2025 Project," which is a collection of conservative policy suggestions. The advertisement will be released before the debate between Harris and Trump, emphasizing that if Trump is elected, he will implement authoritarian and far-right policies. The campaign team plans to invest $370 million in advertising in the last two months before the election, aiming to expose the 2025 Project's advocacy for expanding presidential power and weakening environmental regulations
WASHINGTON, August 28 (Reuters) - Democratic candidate Kamala Harris's presidential campaign team will launch an advertising campaign on Wednesday attempting to link Republican Donald Trump to the "2025 Project," a set of conservative policy proposals that participants hope Trump will adopt if elected.
Harris's campaign team stated that the first ad was released before the debate between Harris and Trump, which will be broadcast by the American Broadcasting Company (ABC) on September 10.
Despite the deep involvement of many of Trump's closest policy advisors, he has been trying to keep his distance from the 2025 Project.
The Harris campaign team argues that the project demonstrates that if Trump is elected on November 5, he will implement a series of authoritarian and far-right policies.
In the final two months before the election, the campaign team will invest $370 million in paid media campaigns, with targeting the "2025 Project" being a part of it.
The "2025 Project" calls for a broad expansion of presidential powers by increasing the number of political appointments and enhancing the president's authority over the Department of Justice.
The project also advocates for the comprehensive repeal of environmental regulations and opposes plans that promote workplace diversity, considering these plans to be fundamentally illegal
