On the evening of August 29, 2024, Guotai Junan Securities disclosed its 2024 interim report.

The report shows that in the first half of 2024, Guotai Junan Securities achieved operating income of 17.07 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 6.89%; net profit attributable to the owners of the listed company was 5.016 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 12.64%.

Specifically, wealth management, investment banking, institutional and trading, and investment management businesses all experienced varying degrees of decline year-on-year.

Nevertheless, institutional and trading remains the business contributing the most to Guotai Junan Securities' operating income.

International business and other business revenues increased year-on-year. In particular, international business saw a 45.56% year-on-year growth.

It can be seen that in the international business segment, commission and fee income, interest income, and trading and investment net income all saw growth compared to the same period last year.

On the same day, Guotai Junan Securities announced that, based on the authorization of the company's 2023 annual general meeting and the resolution of the 14th meeting of the sixth board of directors, the company's profit distribution plan for the first half of 2024 is to distribute cash dividends of 1.5 yuan (tax included) per 10 shares to A-share and H-share shareholders registered on the record date of the dividend distribution.

Based on the total share capital as of June 30, 2024, the total amount of cash dividends distributed exceeds 1.335 billion yuan, accounting for 26.63% of the net profit attributable to the owners of the parent company on a consolidated basis in the first half of 2024.
