According to the news from Wisdom Finance APP, JOHNSON HLDGS (01955) announced that the group has been awarded two three-year contracts by the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People's Republic of China to provide cleaning services to the streets of Kowloon City and the Northern District starting from October 1, 2024. The total amount is approximately HKD 1.1 billion.
Since the end of the 2024 fiscal year, the group has been continuously committed to improving service quality and technological innovation to address the challenges brought by intense competition in the cleaning market, consolidate its core cleaning business, and expand diversified businesses such as waste transportation, pest management, security, and hospital support services. In terms of core cleaning business, the group has successively won large street cleaning service contracts in areas including the Eastern District, Kowloon City, and the Northern District, and has obtained cleaning service contracts for high-end clients such as international large banks, well-known universities, luxury villas, and five-star hotels. In other new business areas, the group has obtained a two-year contract for large-scale kitchen waste collection (providing source-separated recyclable kitchen waste collection services for public markets and cooked food stalls across Hong Kong), with an amount of approximately HKD 560 million for the first time. In addition, the group has obtained a scattered-year contract for general hospital services in large public hospitals in Hong Kong for the first time (providing patient transportation, drug delivery, environmental cleaning, and other support services to hospitals), with an amount of approximately HKD 290 million, successfully entering new track fields with high thresholds and broad market space
