National Bureau of Statistics: CPI expected to moderately rebound in the next stage

National Bureau of Statistics spokesperson Liu Aihua said that in the next stage, as the weather gradually cools down and China's main flood season ends, precipitation decreases, creating suitable climate for vegetable growth, transportation, and storage. Vegetable supply is expected to increase. Additionally, considering the increased holiday consumption demand during the Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day, vegetable prices may slightly decrease. Currently, pork production capacity is continuously decreasing, coupled with the arrival of the traditional peak consumption season, pork prices may continue to rise. Overall, food prices are expected to remain stable. In terms of industrial consumer goods, the downward pressure on energy prices has increased due to international input factors. Other industrial consumer goods are sufficient in supply, and prices are expected to remain stable. Regarding service prices, influenced by the Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day holiday effects, service prices are expected to generally stabilize with a slight increase. Taking into account all the above factors, the CPI is expected to moderately rise in the next stage. (China.com)
