NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang: We shoulder the world, three hours of sleep a day is enough
NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang stated at the Goldman Sachs conference that as a leading company in the AI hardware field, NVIDIA faces tremendous pressure and responsibility. He mentioned that NVIDIA's Blackwell AI GPU has received tens of thousands of orders even before its release, making the task of meeting customer demands challenging. Despite the heavy workload, Jensen Huang enjoys the process and finds it very interesting to be involved in creating the next era of computing. As a leading company in the current AI hardware field, NVIDIA's CEO Jensen Huang admitted this week at the Goldman Sachs Communacopia + Technology Conference that leading this company comes with tremendous pressure and responsibility.
Huang mentioned that NVIDIA collaborates with almost all major AI companies globally, and its products and technology directly impact the revenue and competitiveness of these companies. Therefore, NVIDIA's customers have high expectations for product and service delivery, which brings immense pressure and responsibility to the company.
Huang stated that NVIDIA's Blackwell AI GPU received tens of thousands of orders even before its official release, further increasing the company's production pressure. He emphasized that meeting such high customer demand is a very challenging task, but also highlighted that this challenge is very interesting.
Despite the significant work pressure, Huang expressed that he enjoys the process. He believes that being involved in creating the next computer era is very exciting, seeing various applications and robots emerging is thrilling.
However, the immense pressure has also affected Huang's sleep. He revealed that due to the heavy burden on his shoulders, he only sleeps for 3 hours a day. Huang said, "The really stressful part is the world on our shoulders. So, it's okay to sleep less, three hours is enough."
Huang also disclosed that the Blackwell AI GPU will begin shipping in the fourth quarter of this year and further scale up next year
