
SINOPEC SEG Consortium Wins EPC Contract for Kazakh Ethane Cracking Project

SINOPEC SEG has signed an EPC contract with Spain's Tecnicas Reunidas for the ethane cracking project of the Silleno petrochemical complex project in Kazakhstan, with a contract value of approximately USD 2.5 billion, with each party holding a 50% stake. This project is a landmark project in the petrochemical industry at the national level in Kazakhstan, located in the national petrochemical industrial park in the Karabatan area of Atyrau Province
SINOPEC SEG (2386.HK) announced that the group recently signed an EPC engineering and construction contract with Kazakhstan's Silleno LLP for the ethane cracking project of the Silleno petrochemical complex project in Kazakhstan. According to the contract, the group will form a consortium with TR Company to jointly provide EPC engineering and construction services for the project. The contract is valued at approximately USD 2.5 billion, with the group and TR Company each holding a 50% stake in the consortium. The total value of this contract will be included in the group's backlog. This project is a national landmark project in Kazakhstan's vigorous development of the petrochemical industry.
