
TABLE-Holdings of SPDR Gold unchanged, iShares Silver drop

On October 1, SPDR Gold Trust (GLD) holdings remained unchanged at 28,033,879.1 ounces, while iShares Silver Trust (SLV) saw a decrease of 0.29%, dropping to 469,198,430.8 ounces. Other ETFs also reported minor changes, with COMEX Gold Trust down by 0.27% and ZKB Physical Gold unchanged. Overall, gold ETF holdings totaled 59,089,175.9 ounces, while silver ETF holdings reached 844,158,165.0 ounces, reflecting a slight decline in both categories.
Oct 1 (Reuters) - Holdings of the largest gold-backed exchange-traded-fund (ETF), New York’s SPDR Gold Trust (GLD) , remained unchanged on Monday from Friday, while the largest silver-backed ETF, New York’s iShares Silver Trust (SLV) , fell 0.29% during the same period. Exchange-traded funds, the most widely recognized type of ETP, back each security issued with physical stocks of a given commodity, creating a product they say is free from counterparty risk.
