Apple's senior veteran Riccio will resign, who was responsible for Vision Pro development
Apple executive Dan Riccio is about to step down. Since 2021, he has been in charge of developing the Vision Pro headset. Riccio has worked at Apple for 26 years, holding various positions including Senior Vice President. According to the latest news from the Wise Finance APP, it is reported that Dan Riccio, a senior executive at Apple (AAPL.US), is about to resign. It is understood that this executive has been focusing on the development of the company's Vision Pro headset since 2021.
Sources familiar with the matter stated that Riccio will leave the tech giant sometime this month. Riccio graduated from the University of Massachusetts Amherst in 1986 with a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
The report further added that employees of Riccio's Vision Products Group, including thousands of engineers working on headsets and related technologies, will be overseen by Apple's head of hardware business, John Ternus. The Vision Products Group will be led by Riccio's trusted assistant, Mike Rockwell.
Apple has not immediately responded to requests for comments.
Riccio has worked at Apple for 26 years, holding various positions. In January 2021, he stepped down from the role of Senior Vice President, became a Vice President, and left Apple's executive team. In addition to Vision Pro, Riccio has also developed other products such as AirPods, iPad Pro, large-screen iPhones, and Apple's unsuccessful car project.
