Xiaomi, iQOO, and OnePlus new phones will be launched at the end of the month, Snapdragon 8 Ultimate Edition is reported to outperform A18 Pro

Xiaomi, iQOO, OnePlus, and other brands will launch new phones from October 28th to 31st, equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor. This launch event closely follows the release of the MediaTek Dimensity 9400 processor, with vivo X200 and OPPO Find X8 series phones set to be released on October 14th and 24th respectively. The performance of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 is outstanding, with a Geekbench 6 single-core score exceeding 3200 points and a multi-core score exceeding 10000 points
On October 9th, MediaTek took the lead and released the new generation Dimensity 9400 flagship mobile processor.
The vivo X200 series and OPPO Find X8 series phones equipped with this processor have been scheduled for release on October 14th and October 24th respectively.

In comparison, Qualcomm's news came a bit later. This year's Snapdragon Summit will be held from October 22nd to 24th.
As usual, smartphones featuring the new generation Snapdragon 8 series flagship processors will be released subsequently.
According to blogger @体验 more's leak yesterday (October 11th), Xiaomi 15 series, iQOO 13, OnePlus 13, and even the Honor Magic7 series are all set to be released between October 28th and 31st this month.

Starting from today (October 12th), information about the above-mentioned models has gradually increased.
In addition to the blogger's leaked information, we can also explore from benchmark data, certification information, etc., as IT House brings you a sneak peek of the new wave of Snapdragon 8 flagship smartphones.
01.
Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 ➡️ Snapdragon 8 Ultimate Edition
The next-generation Snapdragon flagship processor with the codename SM8750 is crucial for Qualcomm.
This is Qualcomm's self-developed brand new Oryon CPU, making its debut on the mobile platform.
Looking at the performance of the Oryon CPU paired with TSMC's N4P process on the laptop platform's Snapdragon X Elite processor, the performance seems not as ideal as imagined.
Furthermore, there are rumors that Qualcomm is once again changing its naming convention, with SM8750 not being called Snapdragon 8 Gen 4, but Snapdragon 8 Ultimate Edition.
This has also triggered PTSD among many users regarding Qualcomm's renaming.

Currently, benchmark scores for Samsung S25 Ultra, OnePlus 13, and iQOO 13 have appeared in the Geekbench database.
Based on the benchmark scores released, the Snapdragon 8 Ultimate Edition's Geekbench 6 single-core score can exceed 3200 points, and the multi-core score can exceed 10000 points

Its single-core performance is about 45% higher than the previous generation Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, second only to the Apple A18 and M4 processors, and its multi-core performance even exceeds that of the A18 Pro.
For reference, the 10-core Snapdragon X Elite X1E-80-100 processor in my hands scored over 2700 points in single-core and over 14000 points in multi-core.
And this time, the Snapdragon 8 Ultimate Edition with [2x 4.32GHz + 6x 3.53GHz] frequency strategy is even more aggressive than the Snapdragon X Elite, so it is not surprising that the single-core score is higher.

It is worth noting that the X1E-80-100 processor on the Surface Laptop 7th Edition has a maximum single-core frequency of only 4.0GHz, and the more widely used X1E-78-100 has a maximum frequency of only 3.4GHz.
The more aggressive frequency than computer processors, even with the support of TSMC's N3E process, has raised concerns among many users about the power consumption of the Snapdragon 8 Ultimate Edition.
Oneplus employee @蔡祖轩 has reassured everyone by revealing that the internal efficiency data has finally been fully tested, and Qualcomm has returned to the top of the weapon spectrum rankings this time, surpassing the A18 Pro.

Of course, users who have been hurt by the Snapdragon 888 are not so easily convinced. We will have to wait until after the release to find out the specific performance of the Snapdragon 8 Ultimate Edition.

OnePlus 13, Second Generation Eastern Screen
Among the first wave of Snapdragon 8 Ultimate Edition models, the OnePlus 13 is one of the early warm-ups.
OnePlus officially announced that it will hold a JD Flexible OLED Flagship New Product Launch Event on October 15, claiming to "witness the new peak of Chinese screens."
On the evening of the screen launch event at 19:00, OnePlus will also hold a Double 11 Wonderful Night live broadcast event, which may release more information about the OnePlus 13 phone According to previous information, the OnePlus 13's BOE X2 Oriental screen features 2K+120Hz 8T LTPO display, super ceramic crystal glass, ultrasonic fingerprint, super eye protection, and soft edge four-depth characteristics.
It is rumored that the OnePlus 13 also comes with a 6000mAh battery, supporting 100W wired charging and 50W wireless charging.
This phone has also passed the national 3C certification, confirming the news of 100W wired fast charging.

In terms of imaging, the OnePlus 13's rear triple camera setup consists of 50MP lenses, using a combination of LYT808 main camera + IMX882 ultra-wide angle + IMX882 3X periscope.

Furthermore, the OnePlus 13 also supports IP68/69 dust and water resistance, debuting with the ColorOS 15 system, continuing the Hasselblad design collaboration.
03.
iQOO 13, real camera exposure
As a sub-brand also focusing on performance, iQOO 13 has new information.

Its "low-resolution" and "high-resolution" real machine images were also exposed by bloggers today (October 12).

The overall design of the iQOO 13 is similar to its predecessor iQOO 12, but a ring of RGB lights has been added around the camera.
According to earlier information, the iQOO 13 will feature a 2K BOE Q10 straight screen, single-point ultrasonic fingerprint.
Its battery capacity will also start with "6", with a capacity of 6100-6150mAh±, while also supporting 120W private protocol flash charging + 100W PPS public flash charging.

The iQOO 13 has also passed the 3C certification, with an original 120W charger.
However, unfortunately, according to current leaks, the imaging configuration of the iQOO 13 may have some regression compared to its predecessor iQOO 12, as the saying goes, "you gain some, you lose some." From the exposure of the "riddle", it is expected that the iQOO 13 will be released on October 30, while the OnePlus 13 will be released on October 29.

Xiaomi 15 Series, Coming Soon
Building on the success of the Xiaomi 14 series, Xiaomi seems to be the least "anxious" to tease the new phone.
However, a few days ago, the "pipe burst", and the tech media smartprix shared high-definition renderings and specifications of the Xiaomi 15 Pro phone.
The Xiaomi 15 Pro maintains a similar design to the Xiaomi 14 Pro, with a flat metal frame and the camera located in the upper left corner of the body.
In addition to the classic colors of black, white, and silver, just like the previous Xiaomi 14 Pro, a special titanium version will also be released.
The phone will be equipped with a 6.78-inch quad-curved AMOLED screen supplied by TCL (CSOT), with a 2K resolution, 500+ ppi, and a 120Hz refresh rate.
Furthermore, the Xiaomi 15 Pro will feature a Leica co-branded triple camera system.
Main camera: 50MP light hunter 900, f/1.4 aperture
Ultra-wide angle: 50MP
Telephoto: New 50MP Sony IMX858 5X lens, minimum focusing distance of 30cm
Front of the phone will have a 32MP camera
The biggest upgrade compared to the Xiaomi 14 Pro is the telephoto lens, which has been upgraded from the equivalent of 67mm (default 75mm in photo mode) Samsung JN1 to the Xiaomi 14 Ultra-level IMX858 five-fold periscope telephoto lens.
The battery capacity of the Xiaomi 15 Pro has also seen a significant increase.
While the previous Xiaomi 14 Pro, weighing 223g, only had a 4880mAh battery, the new Xiaomi 15 Pro will come with a 6000mAh battery, a 23% increase in capacity compared to the previous generation, while supporting 90W wired charging, 80W wireless charging, and 10W reverse wireless charging.

The more "mysterious" Xiaomi 15 Standard Edition has also been exposed to feature a 5400mAh battery in a 6.3-inch screen size, while supporting 90W wired charging and 50W wireless charging

Lu Weibing has finally started to tease the Xiaomi 15 standard version, asking netizens why they like small flagship phones.
The Xiaomi 15 series phones have already obtained the national 3C certification early on, and are produced by Blue Si Technology and Xiaomi's own factory.

The A18 Pro, Snapdragon 8 Ultimate Edition, and Dimensity 9400 are about to show their strengths, and a new generation flagship battle is about to begin.

Here at IT House, we need to give everyone a heads-up. Based on information from domestic and international sources, the price of the Snapdragon 8 Ultimate Edition may not be very favorable, this wave of flagship phones may further increase in price.
In addition to the Dimensity 9400 and Snapdragon 8 Ultimate Edition, Apple and Huawei also have a wave of new products ready to be launched.
This October, the excitement continues
