This is the sixth time this year! Tesla recalls 2,431 Cybertrucks in the U.S. again
On November 13, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) disclosed that Tesla will recall a total of 2,431 units of the 2024 Cybertruck due to a potential loss of wheel drive caused by a fault in the drive inverter. This recall involves certain 2024 Cybertruck vehicles produced between November 6, 2023, and July 30, 2024, which are equipped with or were previously equipped with metal-oxide-semiconductor field-effect transistors. NHTSA stated that if the inverter stops generating torque, the driver will lose the ability to apply torque to the vehicle using the accelerator pedal, resulting in a loss of propulsion, which may increase the risk of a collision. Starting on or shortly after December 9, Tesla will replace the recalled drive inverters for customers free of charge, with the replacement inverters equipped with properly functioning MOSFET components. Prior to this, Tesla's Cybertruck has already undergone five separate recall actions this year
