According to the disclosure by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), Carlyle submitted its third-quarter (Q3) holdings report (13F) for the period ending September 30, 2024.
Statistics show that Carlyle's total market value of holdings in the third quarter was $950 million, a decrease of 9.5% from the previous quarter's $1.05 billion. In the third quarter, Carlyle added 2 new stocks to its portfolio and increased its holdings in 2 stocks. At the same time, Carlyle reduced its holdings in 4 stocks and completely exited 7 stocks. The top ten holdings accounted for 95.64% of the total market value.

Among the top five holdings, QuidelOrtho Corporation (QDEL.US) ranked first, with approximately 8.26 million shares valued at about $377 million, accounting for 33.53% of the portfolio, a significant reduction of 28.30% in the number of shares held compared to the previous quarter.
ZoomInfo Technologies (ZI.US) ranked second, with approximately 11.67 million shares valued at about $120 million, accounting for 10.72% of the portfolio, a significant reduction of 32.35% in the number of shares held compared to the previous quarter.
Soleno Therapeutics (SLNO.US) ranked third, with approximately 2 million shares valued at about $107 million, accounting for 9.54% of the portfolio, a decrease of 18.84% in the number of shares held compared to the previous quarter.
Phathom Pharmaceuticals (PHAT.US) ranked fourth, with approximately 3.5 million shares valued at about $63.19 million, accounting for 5.63% of the portfolio, with no change in the number of shares held compared to the previous quarter.
Q32 Bio (QTTB.US) ranked fifth, with approximately 1.1 million shares valued at about $48.62 million, accounting for 4.33% of the portfolio, with no change in the number of shares held compared to the previous quarter.

In the third quarter, Carlyle established positions in Maplebear (CART.US), Forward Air (FWRD.US), Reddit (RDDT.US), among others, and completely exited positions in Aon plc (AON.US), GDS Holdings Limited (GDS.US), Verona Pharma (VRNA.US), Nu Holdings (NU.US), and other stocks.
During this quarter, Carlyle increased its holdings in Seacor Marine (SMHI.US), OnKure Therapeutics (OKUR.US), while simultaneously reducing its holdings in QuidelOrtho Corporation, ZoomInfo Technologies, and Soleno Therapeutics Pinduoduo (PDD.US) and others.
From the changes in holding ratios, the top three bought stocks are: Forward Air, Maplebear, Seacor Marine.
The top five sold stocks are: ZoomInfo Technologies, GDS Holdings, Verona Pharma, Aon, Nu Holdings.
