SenseTime completes organizational restructuring

On the evening of December 3rd, Xu Li, Chairman & CEO of SenseTime, released an internal letter announcing that SenseTime has completed a strategic restructuring. In the future, it will focus on its core business of AI Cloud and general visual models, while businesses such as the smart car "Jueying," home robot "Yuanluobo," smart healthcare, and smart retail will be spun off into independent companies, each with its own CEO. He stated that the significance of this adjustment lies in SenseTime's ability to accelerate profitability and stabilize cash flow by focusing on core businesses, while allowing ecosystem companies to operate independently in their respective niche markets, sharing SenseTime's infrastructure and foundational model development achievements to form effective synergies. Xu Li also mentioned in the internal letter that SenseTime will establish a "1+X" structure overall, where "1" is to build AI Cloud, achieving seamless integration of large devices, foundational models, and AI applications; and continue to leverage the advantages of general visual models in the CV field. "X" represents the matrix of spun-off ecosystem companies to seize market opportunities in their respective fields
