U.S. stock market opens: NASDAQ rises about 0.5%, semiconductor index rises 0.8%, China concept index rises over 1.1%

On the first trading day after Trump's return to the White House, the S&P 500 index opened up 17.46 points, an increase of 0.29%, closing at 6014.12 points;

The Dow Jones Industrial Average opened up 40.82 points, an increase of 0.09%, closing at 43528.65 points;

The NASDAQ Composite Index opened up 104.19 points, an increase of 0.53%, closing at 19734.39 points.

Trump Media & Technology fell 6.5%, Tesla rose 1.2%, "Bitcoin whale" MicroStrategy fell 0.1%, NVIDIA rose 1%, Apple fell 2.6%, and TSMC ADR rose 1.9%.

Among the tech giants known as the "Seven Sisters," AppLovin rose 1.9% in the Maga 7.

Quantum computing concept stock Rigetti Computing rose 6.2%.

Chinese concept stocks XPeng and Li Auto rose over 5%, JD.com rose over 3%, while New Oriental fell 17.6%. The Chinese concept ETF YINN rose 4.6%
