Arabica coffee bean futures rose over 1.7%, continuing to set historical highs, as heavy rains hit Brazil's main producing regions
On Monday (February 3), at the New York close, ICE raw sugar futures fell by 0.62%, and ICE white sugar futures fell by 1.08%. ICE Arabica coffee futures rose by 1.75%, closing at 384.45 cents per pound, having reached 388.95 cents at 21:03 Beijing time, continuing the trend of setting historical highs since late January; coffee "C" futures rose by 1.75%, with the largest Arabica coffee bean planting area in Brazil experiencing 119mm of rainfall in the past week—203% of the historical average (11.3-148.6mm). Exporter Comexim Ltda. reported that Brazil's coffee production is expected to decline by 1.8% in the new planting year. Robusta coffee futures fell by 2.51%. New York cocoa futures rose by 0.41%, closing at $10,900 per ton. London cocoa futures rose by 0.92%. ICE cotton futures rose by 0.49%
