
Sensor Tower: "Whiteout Survival" revenue hits a new high, firmly ranking first in the January overseas mobile game revenue chart

Sensor Tower's latest data shows that miHoYo's "Genshin Impact" doubled its overseas revenue in January, becoming the growth champion and ranking second in the revenue list. "Whiteout Survival" launched a Spring Festival event in overseas markets, with a month-on-month revenue increase of 10%, reaching nearly $140 million, firmly holding the top spot in the revenue list, with total global revenue expected to exceed $2 billion. Other games such as "Mobile Legends: Bang Bang" and "Archero 2" also performed well, ranking 7th and 8th respectively
According to the latest data from the Sensor Tower store intelligence platform, in late January, "Whiteout Survival" launched the "Year of the Snake" Spring Festival event in overseas markets, driving a 10% month-on-month increase in the game's overseas revenue, approaching USD 140 million, maintaining its position as the champion of overseas mobile game revenue. According to Sensor Tower's app insights data, "Whiteout Survival" has accumulated global revenue of USD 1.9 billion and is expected to surpass the USD 2 billion mark in mid to late February this year.
miHoYo's "Genshin Impact" saw its overseas revenue double in January, claiming the title of overseas mobile game revenue growth champion for the month and ranking second in total revenue. This surge is mainly attributed to the launch of the new version 5.3 "Burning Requiem" and the introduction of new characters "Mona" and "Shinobu," which led to a spike in revenue on January 1, reaching the highest overseas revenue in nearly two years and topping the global mobile game sales chart for that day.
On January 4, Mu Tong Technology's "Mobile Legends: Bang Bang" launched a crossover collaboration with the famous Japanese manga "Hunter×Hunter," introducing special events and new hero skins based on the "Hunter×Hunter" anime. This collaboration increased the game's fun and cross-cultural interaction, pushing "Mobile Legends: Bang Bang" to its highest daily revenue in nearly two years, resulting in a 76% increase in January revenue, advancing 11 places to rank 7th in total revenue.
The Roguelike action shooting mobile game "Archero 2" by Haipi launched in more overseas markets such as the United States, Europe, and Japan in early January, quickly securing the second place in the U.S. App Store mobile game download chart and the top spot in the App Store mobile game download charts in Japan, France, and Spain. This period saw a 64% increase in overseas revenue, advancing 9 places to rank 8th in total revenue. In terms of downloads, "Archero 2" experienced a 345% surge in downloads in January, making its debut in the download chart at 7th place.
January Overseas Mobile Game Revenue Growth Ranking
At the beginning of January, Kuro Game's open-world adventure mobile game "Ningchao" launched its new version 2.0 "To Silence with a Song" and new resonators "Keleta" and "Rococo," which were well-received by players both domestically and internationally, driving a 275% month-on-month increase in the game's overseas revenue, achieving the best performance in nearly six months, ranking second in overseas mobile game revenue growth for the month, and returning to the 14th place in total revenue.
