HSBC Chief Executive Officer Noel Quinn will receive a total compensation of USD 6.8 million, with the company's bonus pool remaining largely unchanged
HSBC HOLDINGS CEO Noel Quinn will receive a total compensation of £5.4 million ($6.8 million), including a fixed salary and variable performance pay. Following adjustments to UK regulations, the proportion of bonuses in compensation has been allowed to increase. Last year, Quinn, who took office, received a basic salary of £2.47 million and a variable pay of £2.89 million. HSBC HOLDINGS, which is undergoing restructuring, has seen little change in its overall bonus pool, contrary to the industry-wide trend of rising bonuses for bankers. HSBC's group variable compensation for 2024 is $3.8 billion, compared to $3.77 billion the previous year. (Bloomberg)
