Counterpoint Research data shows that in Q4 2024, China's smartphone shipments increased by 5% year-on-year and 9% quarter-on-quarter, achieving growth for four consecutive quarters. Vivo ranked first with an 18% market share, followed closely by Apple and Huawei, with market shares of 16.8% and 16.7%, respectively. Xiaomi ranked fourth with a 16% market share. In 2024, China's smartphone shipments are expected to grow by 4% year-on-year, with continued low single-digit growth anticipated in 2025. The national smartphone subsidy program is expected to drive sales growth, especially in Q1 2025

According to the Zhitong Finance APP, Counterpoint Research data shows that in Q4 2024, China's smartphone shipments are expected to grow by 5% year-on-year and 9% quarter-on-quarter, marking four consecutive quarters of year-on-year growth.

In Q4 2024, vivo holds the top position with an 18% market share, mainly benefiting from its cost-effective Y series. Its sub-brand iQOO also made significant contributions to this growth.

Apple (AAPL.US) ranks second with a 16.8% market share, followed closely by Huawei with a market share of 16.7%. In addition to the Pura 70 and Mate 60 series, the newly launched mid-range Nova 13 series also significantly contributed to this growth.

Xiaomi (01810) ranks fourth with a 16% market share, primarily benefiting from the strong sales of its flagship Mi 15 series. The brand has made significant progress in the high-end market this year.

In 2024, China's smartphone shipments are expected to grow by 4% year-on-year, while in 2023, they declined by 4% year-on-year. Looking ahead to 2025, the Chinese smartphone market is expected to continue to maintain low single-digit growth. The national smartphone subsidy program announced in January is expected to act as a catalyst for driving sales growth, especially in Q1 2025.
