Recently, He Xiaopeng shared his observations on the humanoid robot industry in his social circle. He pointed out that the humanoid robots currently popular in the market have comprehensive capabilities close to the &#34;L2 beginner&#34; level of autonomous driving, which means they can perform basic pre-programmed actions and maintain stability autonomously, but still require continuous human supervision.
The industry's common goal is to achieve &#34;L3 beginner&#34; capabilities with production and commercial value as soon as possible through technological upgrades, allowing robots to operate independently in most scenarios and only request human intervention in complex situations.
He Xiaopeng believes that only by reaching the L4 stage can humanoid robots truly adapt to a wide range of complex tasks and achieve collaboration and autonomous decision-making with minimal supervision. The highest level, L5, corresponds to Artificial General Intelligence (AGI), requiring robots to reach or exceed human levels in cognitive and physical tasks while adhering to ethics and regulations.
