In terms of market sentiment, the three major institutional investors sold a net of NT$ 38.04 billion, with foreign investors reducing their net short positions in futures by 27 contracts to 40,458 contracts, selling NT$ 29.5 billion in the spot market, while investment trusts bought NT$ 2.66 billion, and proprietary traders sold NT$ 11.2 billion. Last week, the Taiwan stock market fell 477 points, a decline of 2.0%, marking two consecutive weeks of losses.
Yongfeng Futures pointed out that last week, Sichuan announced again the suspension of the 25% tariffs on Canada and Mexico, while the overall U.S. stock market remained shrouded in uncertainty under Trump's tariff policies, with all four major indices closing in the red.
