Bill Gates predicts that within 10 years, AI will replace most doctors and teachers, and humans will withdraw from most fields
Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates' latest prediction states that artificial intelligence will replace human roles in most fields within the next 10 years. In a recent interview, he mentioned that professional talent is still a scarce resource, but "as AI develops, by the 2030s, high-quality medical advice and tutoring will become free and widespread." Gates introduced this concept during a conversation with Harvard professor Arthur Brooks last month. He pointed out that a 2023 study published in The Lancet found that AI diagnostic accuracy has reached 96% of top doctors. Mustafa Suleyman, CEO of Microsoft's AI division, warned in his book "The AI Wave": "These tools will temporarily enhance human intelligence but will ultimately fundamentally replace the workforce."
