
Gathering over 40 industry, academia, and research institutions, South Korea bets on the "K-Humanoid Robot Alliance" with national strength
"South Korea officially joins the fierce competition among global tech giants in the development of humanoid robots." According to the South Korean newspaper JoongAng Ilbo on the 10th, the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy held the launch ceremony for the "K-Humanoid Robot Alliance" on the 10th, which involves participation from the South Korean government, academia, and robot manufacturing companies. About 350 people attended the event, including Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy Ahn Duk-geun and Seoul National University President Yoo Hong-lim. The alliance brings together more than 40 industry-academia-research institutions, including AI development teams from Seoul National University, Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology, and Pohang University of Science and Technology, as well as robot manufacturing companies like Rainbow Robotics and A Robot, and large enterprises such as Doosan Robotics, LG Electronics, and Hyundai Robotics.
