The "May Day" holiday travel is booming! On the first day, train tickets for several popular routes were "snapped up in 30 minutes."
The demand for travel during the "May Day" holiday remains strong. According to Meituan data, on April 17th, the first day of ticket sales for the "May Day" holiday, some popular train tickets were "sold out in 30 minutes." This includes routes from Beijing to Qingdao, Qinhuangdao, Zhengzhou, Shenyang, as well as from Guangzhou to Changsha, Guiyang, Guilin, from Shenzhen to Guilin, Guiyang, and from Chengdu to Xi'an, with many popular routes selling out within 30 minutes of going on sale. Industry insiders indicate that following the Qingming holiday, this year's "May Day" holiday travel enthusiasm may be even more intense. A relevant person in charge of Meituan Travel stated that the peak for train ticket travel is concentrated on May 1st. However, if travelers choose to "travel off-peak" two days in advance, there are still some tickets available for certain routes. For example, on April 30th, there are still some tickets available for trains from Shanghai, Zhengzhou, and Xi'an to Tibet. Additionally, there are still some tickets available for destinations in the Northwest and Northeast regions. On May 1st, there are a limited number of tickets available for purchase from Chengdu to Lanzhou, Beijing to Xining, Beijing to Yinchuan, as well as from Beijing to Harbin and Jinan to Harbin
