SATS taps Sandeep Sakharkar as new chief digital officer
SATS has appointed Sandeep Sakharkar as its new Chief Digital Officer, effective March 17. With over 25 years of experience in emerging technologies, Sakharkar will lead the company's digital strategy, focusing on data analytics, automation, and AI integration. He previously held senior positions at Johnson & Johnson, Footlocker, and GXO Logistics, and is the founder of AI startup Datanoetic. SATS CEO Kerry Mok emphasized the importance of digital excellence in the evolving logistics and aviation industries, highlighting Sakharkar's potential to enhance operational efficiency and customer-centric innovation.
His appointment is effective from 17 March.

Sakharkar brings over two and a half decades of experience in emerging technologies.
He will be responsible for the development and execution of the company’s digital strategy, including the integration of data analytics, automation, and AI into the company’s global operations.
Prior to his appointment, Sakharkar held senior roles at Johnson & Johnson, Footlocker, and GXO Logistics. He is also the founder and non-executive chairman of AI startup Datanoetic.
