SolarEdge’s new EV charger cuts fleet charging costs by 70% with solar smarts

SolarEdge has launched a new 22kW solar-powered EV charger at Intersolar Europe 2025, designed to significantly reduce electric fleet charging costs by up to 70%. The SolarEdge ONE EV Charger integrates with commercial solar and battery systems, utilizing intelligent energy management software from its Wevo Energy acquisition. Beta tester BV-comOffice GmbH reported substantial savings and enhanced efficiency in charging operations, emphasizing the benefits of using clean energy for their fleet.

SolarEdge just dropped a new 22kW charger at Intersolar Europe 2025, and it’s aiming to make electric fleet charging a whole lot cleaner and cheaper. The smart energy tech company’s solar-powered EV charger plugs into its commercial solar and battery storage system.
The Level 2 SolarEdge ONE EV Charger is part of an integrated system controlled by SolarEdge’s energy management software, which came out of its acquisition of Wevo Energy last year. With it, businesses can charge their EV fleets using solar power, managed intelligently to cut costs and maximize clean energy use. One of the first beta testers, German office retailer BV-comOffice GmbH, slashed its EV charging costs after installing the system.
“We’ve managed to cut our EV fleet charging costs by around 70% since installing SolarEdge’s PV and EV charging solution,” said BV-comOffice CEO Christoph Vogl. “It’s smart enough to prioritize which vehicles charge when, so our sales reps are always ready to hit the road. Our employees are also really pleased to be charging their cars with clean energy.”
The SolarEdge ONE EV Charger is built to prioritize solar self-consumption. It uses excess solar generation to power up fleets, reducing reliance on pricey grid electricity. It works in both single- and three-phase power modes and automatically switches between them. Its slim, modern design includes snap-on wall mounting and flexible cable entry points, so installation only takes minutes.
