Sources close to Hema revealed that this store may close soon, leaving no Hema X membership stores in the Beijing market. It is reported that some Hema X membership stores in Shanghai have also experienced similar situations. Since Hema announced the closure of three membership stores in Shanghai in March this year, only five membership stores remain nationwide. If the aforementioned store closes, the layout of Hema X membership stores will shrink again. Meanwhile, Hema is reorganizing its various formats; on one hand, it is focusing on Hema Fresh and Hema NB, continuously opening new stores; on the other hand, through the cloud sharing channel of the Hema App, some resources and member rights of membership stores are gradually being transferred online. As of the time of publication, Hema has not commented on the changes. Sina Technology noted that Hema previously explained the closure of Hema X membership stores by stating, "This is a proactive adjustment of membership stores, mainly focusing on Hema Fresh and Hema NB formats. This year, Hema will continue to focus on the counter-cyclical expansion of the Hema Fresh format, planning to open nearly 100 Hema Fresh stores in the new fiscal year."
