Reuters, May 24 - According to the outage tracking website Downdetector.com, Musk's social media platform X experienced a malfunction on Saturday, affecting tens of thousands of users in the United States, with most users' access having largely been restored afterward.
"Resuming 24/7 around-the-clock work, sleeping in conference rooms/server rooms/factory rooms. I must be super focused on X/xAI and Tesla TSLA.O (and next week's Starship launch), because we have critical technologies to roll out," Musk said in a post on X.
According to Downdetector's data, at the peak of the outage, thousands of users in other countries such as Germany, Spain, France, India, Canada, Australia, and the UK also encountered issues accessing X.
X did not immediately respond to Reuters' request for comment on the outage.
Last year, Musk spent nearly $300 million supporting Trump's presidential campaign and other Republicans, and he stated on Tuesday that he would significantly cut political spending, indicating that he is shifting his focus back to his business empire amid growing investor concerns
