Mainland China has increased its gold holdings for seven consecutive months

The People's Bank of China announced that as of the end of May, gold reserves stood at 73.83 million ounces, an increase of 60,000 ounces from the end of the previous month, marking seven consecutive months of gold accumulation; the dollar value of gold reserves in May decreased by USD 1.597 billion to USD 241.988 billion
