U.S. President Trump stated on the 3rd local time that he will begin sending letters to trade partners on the 4th, setting unilateral tariff rates, and that countries will start paying new tariffs from August 1. Trump mentioned that approximately "10 or 12 letters" will be sent out on the 4th, with more letters to be mailed in the coming days.
