
Focusing on the sub-commercial circle, Beijing is expected to have over 390,000 square meters of retail commercial space entering the market in the second half of the year
On July 4th, CBRE released the "Beijing Real Estate Market Review and Outlook for the First Half of 2025" report. The report shows that in the second quarter of 2025, two urban renewal projects will be delivered in Beijing's non-core business districts, bringing only 240,000 square meters of new commercial space in the first half of the year. Liu Huanli, Managing Director of CBRE North China, stated that in the second half of the year, over 390,000 square meters of retail properties are expected to open successively in secondary business districts, including the partially trial-operated Zhongguancun Daluocheng and Longfusi Phase II. Meanwhile, some established projects are also considering closure and renovation due to outdated business concepts or brand positioning
