UBS slightly raises NIO's target to $5.4 and upgrades sales forecast

According to a research report by UBS, NIO-SW (09866.HK) (NIO.US) officially launched its second model, the L90, priced between RMB 265,800 and RMB 299,800. Highlights include a 240L super-large cabin and 430L trunk space, with all models equipped with an onboard refrigerator and an 8-inch rear entertainment screen. Management emphasized that the Lido intelligent driving system will fully transition to an end-to-end autonomous driving solution by 2025.

Considering the competitive pricing of the L90, the firm has raised its sales forecasts for 2025 to 2027 by 7%, 5%, and 4%, respectively, and expects strengthened cost control and expense optimization, estimating the company's net losses to narrow to RMB 15 billion, 11 billion, and 10 billion. The target price for U.S. stocks has slightly increased from $5.20 to $5.40, maintaining a "Neutral" rating
