
"Performance" Autodesk's Q2 net profit rose 11%, earnings per share exceeded expectations
Autodesk (ADSK.US) announced that for the second fiscal quarter ending in July, net profit increased by 11% year-on-year to USD 313 million, with earnings per share of USD 1.46, surpassing market expectations of USD 1.44; adjusted earnings per share were USD 2.62, higher than the expected USD 2.47; revenue was USD 1.763 billion, a year-on-year growth of 17%, also exceeding the market expectation of USD 1.72 billion.
Autodesk expects third-quarter revenue to be between USD 1.8 billion and USD 1.81 billion, with adjusted earnings per share between USD 2.48 and USD 2.51; the full-year revenue guidance has been raised to USD 7.025 billion to USD 7.075 billion, with adjusted earnings per share expectations also raised to USD 9.80 to USD 9.98, higher than the original expectations
