According to the latest survey by TrendForce, the early stocking effect caused by consumer subsidies in the Chinese market in the second quarter of 2025, along with the demand for new smartphones, laptops/PCs, and servers in the second half of the year, will strengthen the overall wafer foundry capacity utilization rate and shipment volume, pushing the revenue of the world's top ten wafer foundries to over USD 41.7 billion, a new record with a quarterly increase of 14.6%. TSMC's revenue increased by 18.5% quarter-on-quarter, reaching USD 30.24 billion, with a market share of 70.2%, maintaining its position as the market leader. Samsung's revenue in the second quarter was nearly USD 3.16 billion, a quarterly increase of 9.2%, ranking second with a market share of 7.3%.
