Focus on the French confidence vote in European stocks, French CAC40 index rises

Investors closely monitored the situation in France on Monday, with widespread expectations that French Prime Minister Édouard Philippe would lose the confidence vote. European stock markets showed mixed results on Monday. The pan-European Stoxx 600 index rose by 0.2%.

Dutch semiconductor company ASML reportedly invested €1.3 billion ($1.5 billion) in the €1.7 billion financing round for French startup Mistral AI, with its stock price rising by 1%.

The UK FTSE 100 index fell by 15.6 points or 0.2%, closing at 9,192 points. The French CAC 40 index rose by 37 points or 0.5%, closing at 7,711 points. The German DAX index rose by 130 points or 0.6%, closing at 23,726 points
