Apple COO visits AAC TECH's Jiangsu factory and will continue to increase investment in the future
AAC TECH (02018.HK) announced that Apple (AAPL.US) Chief Operating Officer Sabih Khan visited AAC TECH's vapor chamber module production factory located in Changzhou, Jiangsu on Tuesday (14th), where he toured the first fully automated ultra-thin vapor chamber production line.
Khan pointed out that the VC vapor chamber is an important component of the iPhone 17 Pro, and its peak performance can better support gaming usage scenarios. As seen on the production line, the VC vapor chamber requires extremely high sealing during the water injection and degassing process, which necessitates highly precise operations with a very low margin for error. AAC TECH's automated production line developed in collaboration with Apple has achieved this.
AAC TECH has been collaborating with Apple for 17 years, and by 2025, the cumulative shipment of AAC TECH's products for Apple is expected to reach 8 billion units, with annual shipments of Apple products growing from the initial 2 million units to 610 million units.
AAC TECH Executive Director and CEO Pan Zhengmin stated that the company has participated in the development of every generation of iPhone since the iPhone 4, and has collaborated on major product lines with Apple. There are currently 9 R&D and manufacturing bases for collaborative projects in China, with a total investment of up to 1.5 billion USD, and the company will continue to increase investment in the future
