Guangdong proposes to build an artificial intelligence "integrated development demonstration zone"

The Guangdong Provincial People's Government recently formulated and issued the "Action Plan for High-Quality Development of Manufacturing Empowered by Artificial Intelligence in Guangdong Province," which includes 16 policy measures focusing on strengthening key supply and promoting application and dissemination. It proposes to accelerate the creation of a globally influential "Artificial Intelligence + Manufacturing" integrated development demonstration zone. Qu Xiaojie, Deputy Director of the Guangdong Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology, introduced at a provincial government press conference on the 22nd that Guangdong, as a major manufacturing province and an artificial intelligence cluster, has a complete industrial system and vast market space. As of now, there are more than 1,600 core artificial intelligence enterprises in the province, forming a full-stack industrial chain represented by Huawei's Ascend ecosystem and Tencent's Hunyuan large model. A large number of industrial large models and industrial intelligent entities are iterating and upgrading, bringing a "new engine" for the transformation and upgrading of the manufacturing industry. Guangdong will focus on advantageous industries such as electronic information, smart home appliances, automobiles, and robotics, and build a number of large models in vertical fields and small models for specific scenarios. It will promote the construction of industrial data sets and industrial knowledge corpora, and strengthen the development and utilization of industrial data.
