Jensen Huang is unwilling to lose the Chinese market: We are in an awkward position and hope Trump can help

At the GTC technology conference opened on Tuesday, NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang delivered a keynote speech themed around MAGA, praising Trump and emphasizing NVIDIA's role in the return of manufacturing to the United States. Jensen Huang pointed out that the global AI technology stack currently relies too heavily on products from foreign companies, and he is concerned that as China increasingly produces AI chips and software independently, the U.S. may permanently cede the market to China. Previously, Jensen Huang has been lobbying the U.S. government to ease export controls to allow NVIDIA to sell chips in China. "I really hope President Trump can help us find a solution," he said, "right now we are in an awkward position."
