
Broadcom pre-market rises over 3% as reports indicate discussions with Microsoft for customized chips
According to foreign media reports, Microsoft (MSFT.US) is in talks with Broadcom (AVGO.US) to design future customized chips, potentially shifting business away from Marvell (MRVL.US). Following the news, Marvell's pre-market stock price fell over 7%, while Broadcom rose more than 3%.
The report added that Marvell has recently attempted to gain more business from Meta (META.US) by waiving part of the upfront engineering fees for chip design, as Meta plans to launch the chip in 2027
