BTS are powerhouses on YouTube, so it’s not entirely surprising that when the members of the seven-piece vocal band release music on their own, it also does alright on the platform. What is worth noting is just how well their tunes and visuals do, and now one of the vocalists in the world’s biggest band has joined a very exclusive club by earning a big win on the website. 
 
Earlier this week, BTS member Suga saw the music video for his single &#34;Daechwita&#34; earn its ten millionth like on YouTube, which is a relatively rare sight among all acts, and it’s especially uncommon when looking solely at artists working on their own who hail from South Korea. 
Suga is now just the third South Korean solo musician to score a music video on YouTube with 10 million likes.  
Psy’s “Gangnam Style” leads the way when looking at music videos by South Korean solo artists which have accrued the most likes during their lifetime on YouTube. His pioneering and groundbreaking smash has now been given the thumbs-up by at least 21 million people.

The only other visual on the Google-owned site by a solo musician from South Korea that has managed to collect at least 10 million likes is “Solo” by Jennie. The star, best known as one-fourth of the band Blackpink, went out on her own (went “Solo,” I suppose) several years ago with the track, though she didn’t leave the girl group that catapulted her to global fame. That clip also has 10 million likes, putting it on the same level as &#34;Daechwita,&#34; at least for now.  
 
At the rate &#34;Daechwita&#34; is adding to its impressive count of likes, it may soon rise from 10 million to 11 million, passing Jennie’s “Solo.” 
When looking at all South Korean musical acts, the number of names that have scored at least one music video on YouTube with 10 million likes doubles. Familiar acts BTS, Blackpink and Pinkfong have done the same. 
&#34;Daechwita&#34; was released in mid-2020 as the lead single from Suga’s mixtape D-2, which was credited to Agust D, his alter ego (his other alter ego, that is). When releasing music aside from BTS, Suga usually uses the Agust D name, though he’s collaborated with other acts as Suga as well.
