Schweitzer-Mauduit: Q1 Earnings Snapshot ALPHARETTA, Ga. (AP) _ Schweitzer-Mauduit International Inc. (SWM) on Wednesday reported first-quarter earnings of $21.6 million.

The Alpharetta, Georgia-based company said it had profit of 68 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring costs, came to $1.02 per share.

The paper and reconstituted tobacco company posted revenue of $288.2 million in the period.

Schweitzer-Mauduit expects full-year earnings in the range of $3.75 to $4.05 per share.

Schweitzer-Mauduit shares have climbed 19% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Wednesday, shares hit $47.95, an increase of 64% in the last 12 months.
