NIO will hold an online launch event on June 15 to unveil the ES7 as well as the 2022 ES6, EC6 and ES8, according to local media.
With the Covid lockdown in Shanghai lifted, the release of NIO's (NYSE: NIO, HKG: 9866, SGX: NIO) new SUV ES7 seems to be finally set.
The NIO ES7 will be launched on June 15, local auto media Xchuxing said today, citing an event poster allegedly from NIO.

The poster suggests that the NIO ES7 launch will be held online and will last an hour. CnEVPost did not see the poster on the NIO app.
It is unclear if there will also be an offline launch for the NIO ES7, and if there is only an online launch event, then this will be the first time NIO will launch a new model through an online only launch.
The new car may be the fastest model from launch to delivery for NIO, with deliveries expected to start by the end of August according to previous information, Xchuxing's report noted.
At the event, NIO will also launch the 2022 ES6, EC6 and ES8, the report said, adding that NIO may also unveil details of its cabin hardware upgrade program at that time.
NIO originally planned to launch the ES7 in April, but with the Covid outbreak in Shanghai, the plan was postponed.
The company's co-founder and president Qin Lihong said in a response to user questions on the NIO app late last month that NIO would hold the ES7 launch after the lockdown in Shanghai was lifted.
Shanghai lifted restrictions on resident travel from June 1, thereby essentially lifting the lockdown that had lasted for two months.
On June 1, a user asked on the NIO app when the ES7 would be released, and Qin replied that the company had already started working on it.
At present, all the regulatory procedures required for the sale of NIO ES7 in China have been completed.
In mid-May, China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) released a list of models that will be allowed to be sold for public comment, and the NIO ES7 was included.
The MIIT released the final version of the catalog on June 2, and the NIO ES7 was officially qualified to be sold.
The NIO ES7 includes five range versions with a combined range of 440 km, 485 km, 450 km, 620 km and 575 km, according to the latest filing information.
The NIO ES7 is positioned as a large five-seat pure electric SUV, between the ES6 and ES8, with intelligence levels in line with the ET5 and ET7 sedans, Qin previously said.
"Our delivery target for this year is up to the supply chain, and we will increase our production capacity this year and deliver as much as we can produce," Qin said in February.
The model is aimed at competing with the BMW X5L, which will be released this year, according to Qin.
NIO plans to start delivering the ES7 in the third quarter of this year, said William Li, founder, chairman and CEO of NIO, in a conference call following the release of its fourth-quarter earnings on March 25.
It's going to be a busy month in China's electric car industry, with CnEVPost reporting earlier today that Li Auto (NASDAQ: LI, HKG: 2015) founder, chairman and CEO Li Xiang said the company's new SUV, the L9, will be launched on June 21.
